I don't name names. I'm not the kind of person. Suffice it to say that when I was made the target of the work place Drama Queen, I should have known better than to let her get me riled up. Especially when the person she decided to set me against was my boss.
I'm not fired. And the situation turned out well because my boss (whom I only sorta tolerated before) and I are able to talk and smile and feel more comfortable around because he showed his character as a person. In other words, his reaction to the situation gave me a new found respect for him.
But as far as the Drama Queen, I am a little unsure what to do. She has created problems for me while working there before and I let it slide after several weeks. I had even found myself willing to talk to her and offer sage advise when she came to me with a problem. But after this little episode it's hard enough just being polite to her. I forgive slights within a few days if a person is sincere enough or has done something in the past to show me it was unintentional. But this.
I just don't like to deal well with people like this. I pride myself on being direct. Giving people the bennifit of the doubt. Expecting people to act honorably towards one another. So when I'm confronted with someone who is only happy when people are at eachothers throats it upsets me greatly!
*sigh*
But I guess the lesson from this is that my own behavior in a bad situation is more important than others. I can't expect other people to go by my code of ethics.
Oh an I now have submitted to the MySpace. Feel free to look me up but if you want to friend me, tell me who you are from here. Otherwise the answer is likely to be no.
